Glass fascinates me. It transmits, reflects and refracts light, changes color with the light of the day, and it changes the colors of things around it.
Glass is ancient and the things people have done with it are remarkable. Today fusible glass is beautiful, abundant and a pleasure to work with.
I’ve been working with glass and collecting it since childhood. Stained glass windows and lamps, glass blowing and flame work, and now fusing and casting.
I use Bullseye glass (COE 90) and dichroic glass Coatings by Sandburg. I use three kilns, a Skutt bathtub, a Paragon vitrigraph set up and a Cress 12" combing kiln.
I'm retired, so I get to spend lots of time making things out of glass. When I practiced law, my office was filled with colored glass and I could watch the colors play with the white and yellow pages of my work.
